Sausage Bread

Making that sausage bread for friends here at home is always a source of success!

I also took a picnic in the park, because it is versatile to transport and cut and does not need any accompaniments.

A couple of friends already won my sausage bread as a gift.

After all, who does not like a fondness?Of something that was made especially for you?

You see, you do not have to spend a lot of money to show someone how special you are!

The recipe for this sausage bread is the same as my homemade bread, but the work goes a little further.

It is very simple, easy and practical to make, but requires 24 hours of fermentation.That is, it needs planning.

I guarantee it is worth it!

Sausage Bread Recipe

Pasta Ingredients

5 cups sifted wheat flour + enough to give the point (let go of the hands).

2 cups warm water

3 tablespoons of sugar

3 tablespoons of oil

2 teaspoons of salt

1 tablespoon instant dry yeast

Filling

4 tablespoons olive oil

1 Calabrian sausage (skinless) cut into small cubes

1 medium onion, finely chopped

Syrian pepper to taste

1 tablespoon full of mustard

3 tablespoons full of chopped green odor

PREPARING THE SAUSAGE BREAD DOUGH

In a large bowl add the yeast with the sugar and then the warm water.

Let it sit for 5 minutes

Add a cup of sifted wheat flour.

As the dough is still liquid so you do not rub your hands and then leave unnecessary fingerprints in the kitchen, stir with a spatula.

Reserve for 20 minutes so that flour, sugar and baking powder start to work.

Add the oil and salt, stir well (with the help of the spatula).

Now pour and mix the other cups of flour sifted.

Knead and toast well!

If it is necessary to add little more flour until you reach the point of release of the hands.

TIME OF FIRST DOUGH REST

Let rest overnight (about 12 hours) in the bowl covered with wallpaper.

The mass will grow and tend to overflow, the film role will help you to avoid it.

I keep it inside the cold oven.

PREPARING THE FILLING

Sauté the onion in the oil over low heat until it is very transparent.

Mix the chopped calabresa and fry until golden brown.

Put the Syrian pepper, mustard and green scent.

Mix well.Turn off and set aside to cool.

PUTTING TOGETHER THE PIECES OF SAUSAGE BREAD

First, leave the flour bag on your side because you will need a little more flour to make the point (let go of the hands).

Mix gradually in the batter, which has already rested for 12 hours, the stew of Calabrian (which must be cold).

Put some and knead the bread.

Then put some more and knead again.

Make sure the sausage bread is stuffed.

TIME OF THE SECOND REST OF THE MASS

After mixing everything, mold the bread in the greased pan (with a little oil and flour) to bake.

It can be round, it can be longer like I did.Make your fashion!

If you want to divide the mass into smaller units, divide.

Then cover the bread with a dry dishcloth, to rest for another 12 hours until roasting.

You can continue leaving it inside the cold oven, as it was doing before.

LET’S BAKE!

Remove the dough that was resting in the oven.

If you like you can make drawings on bread by scratching with a knife before taking it to the oven.

Preheat to 200 degrees (10 minutes).

Put the baking bread about 30 minutes or the bark is golden brown.
