TIM continues with its ambitious goal to consolidate the supremacy in the 4G niche in Brazil, which is consistent with the expansion of the coverage of the Italian operator in our country in 2016 alone.
At the end of last year, the company diversified the business model to expand and improve the Internet network with the fourth generation of mobile telephony, but the plans now promise to follow an even more daring path in the coming months.
According to the strategic plan presented by the company, TIM’s 4G in 2019 will cover 95% of the Brazilian population, while 3G will reach 92% of consumers.
Aiming to achieve this goal, the operator has expanded its own projections for 2017 and the next years , and in 2019 will be present in approximately 3,600 cities covered by the fourth generation of telephony, while 3G will comprise 3.2 thousand municipalities.
Of course, the investments are astronomical, and all operators are aware of the obstacles in the country, but the forecast is that only TIM will invest about R $ 12 billion, and will still work in partnership with other telecommunication service providers to take The 4G to a new level, thus circumventing obstacles and offering the best quality to customers.
Even with the growth of the fourth generation of technology, 3G still occupies the largest share in Brazil , and operators know that the road is still long, but not impossible.
The year 2016 was very positive for TIM in this sector, and despite still being behind Vivo, the operator still bets strongly on new technologies for the rise of 4G networks in the national territory.
