The Hawaiian Islands, like the rest of the United States, does not have a public health insurance system. Therefore, going on vacation to the archipelago, you must purchase an insurance policy. When applying for it, you should check which cases of diseases are included in the insurance. Strictly on these points, the costs will be reimbursed by the insurance company. When contacting a doctor, vacationers pay the bills themselves, and upon arrival in their country of permanent residence, they receive compensation from the insurance company. All prescriptions and records of all physician-provided services must be kept. If a vacationer has a serious illness, and he cannot pay his bills, you need to contact the insurance company. When contacting a doctor for a matter that does not require emergency medical intervention, you need to check whether the insurance will cover this visit.

When traveling to the islands, it is recommended to get vaccinated against yellow fever.
