The most significant Indian heritage is the ruins of Copán, a temple complex from the late classical era.

Musically, Honduras is shaped by the coexistence and coexistence of different ethnic and cultural identities. The music of marimba orchestras can be heard at village festivals and other celebrations in the highlands. The marimba is the most popular musical instrument in Honduras; it is played predominantly in the northern coastal area and is used in Afro-Caribbean folklore.

Among the cultural sights in Honduras are the Mayan Copán ruins in the valley of the Río Copán in the far west of Honduras. The ruins have been explored since the middle of the 19th century and have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1980. Other archaeologically interesting archaeological sites of the Mayas can be found at Los Naranjos and El Puente. Also worth seeing are the caves of Talguá / Catacamas, where the remains of a dozen ceramic vessels and glowing bones of around 200 people were discovered in a cathedral-like room at a depth of 600 m.

The natural beauties of Honduras include the remaining rainforests, which can be visited in the 5000 km² Rio Plátano biosphere reserve.
