VISAS, ENTRY RULES, CUSTOMS REGULATIONS in Malaysia
For citizens of Russia arriving in Malaysia, an entry visa is not required for a stay of up to 30 days. But there is a mandatory requirement of the immigration service – your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. For a longer stay, you must apply to the embassy for a visa.
Duty-free import is allowed to Malaysia:
– strong alcoholic beverages not more than 1 liter;
– wine or liqueurs – 1 liter;
– cigarettes – 200 pieces, or 225 g of tobacco;
– perfumes and cosmetics in the amount of not more than 200 Malay ringgits;
– souvenirs in the amount of not more than 200 Malay ringgits;
– electronic audio and video equipment – no more than 1 item per person.
It is forbidden to import:
– wild birds and animals;
– plants;
– givea seeds;
– antiques;
– military uniform;
– gold over 100 grams;
– goods from Israel and banknotes of this country;
– pornographic publications;
– weapons of any kind, including a knife with an ejected blade (considered as a melee weapon).
When importing into the country an amount exceeding 1000 MYR, you must fill out a declaration. The same must be done when leaving the country.
The importation of drugs is strictly prohibited. Violation of this prohibition is punishable by death.
