The north is in the Amazon region and the climate is tropical. The rainy season roughly runs from November to April. This is also the warmest period. The southeast, towards Paraguay, is dry and warm. The rest of Bolivia lies in the Andes Mountains. It is difficult to classify this area climatically. The higher, the colder is perhaps the best description: up to 800 meters the climate is tropical, from 800 to 1800 meters the climate is temperate and above that it is cold.
