Curaçao is a country within the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is located just north of Venezuela. It is a popular holiday destination and this is not surprising when you consider the climate. Most of the year it is very often dry and sunny. Slightly wetter are the months of September to December. The rain then falls during short showers, so that it is still dry for most of the time. The maxima are between 30 and 33 degrees throughout the year and it often does not get colder than 25 degrees during the nights. Because of the warm sea water, of about 28 degrees, it can sometimes be stuffy, especially in the middle of the island. Right by the sea it is often more pleasant thanks to a sea breeze. The island is located very south in the Caribbean and is therefore rarely hit by hurricanes.
