Like the other Baltic States, Estonia also has a distinct geographical location: quite deep in Europe, but somewhat tempered by its proximity to the waters of the Baltic Sea in the west (and the Gulf of Finland in the north). Estonia is located further north than Denmark and therefore also has a large difference in the number of hours of sunshine over the seasons. In the summer it is 20°C, with peaks of 30°C. The sun shines a lot, especially in the month of June. In winter the temperature is just below zero. It can freeze to -15°C, but that often doesn’t last longer than a few days. Rain falls all year round, usually in the form of short showers. July to September are the wettest months. In winter it snows regularly. You can ski in the south.
