Guinea is one of the wettest countries in Africa. The rainy season runs from May to October. On the Atlantic coast there is more than 4000 millimeters of precipitation in that period (!) In July and August it rains almost every day. The temperature is then around 30°C. In the east of the country, the rainy season lasts a little longer, but there is less water overall. The northeast is the warmest region and the most arid due to the influence of the desert. November to May is the warmest period. It can then become 40°C. Travel is best from December to March.
