Life is good on the small coastal strip of Slovenia. There is a temperate Mediterranean climate. The interior of Slovenia is mountainous. The climate there is close to a continental climate. The winters are quite cold, in Ljubljana the average daytime temperature in January is 2°C. In summer it is pleasantly warm at 25°C. Slovenia is a wet country.
