Recommended purchases for shopping in Vietnam include the following:

  • Products made of silver, lacquer, pearls, mother-of-pearl, bamboo, black and mahogany;
  • Clothes and various accessories made of cotton, linen and silk;
  • Gold items. For example, in Ho Chi Minh City you can buy gold at nice prices;
  • Spices, in particular black pepper from Fukuoka;
  • Aozai national costume, represented by a long shirt dress with slits, as well as trousers (which are usually sewn to order). Relevant for women;
  • Crockery, including ceramic, especially handmade.

Remember: the price of the product you like can be significantly reduced if you know how to bargain correctly, while remaining polite and friendly in the eyes of sellers.
